These are a "Special Pair" in Cherry with Esotar 2 Mob Tweeter modification ($1700) with tweeter "tridents" for tweeter protection. These were in one of the systems of the owner of Dedicated Audio. The Contour S 3.4 features a graceful narrow cabinet combined with potent Dynaudio technology to create a sonic masterpiece. The Contour cabinet is strengthened by cross-braces in specific areas and is damped extensively to achieve an absolutely solid construction. In conjunction with the advanced baffle construction, an extremely stiff and rigid unit is created, further ennobled by the finely polished surface of a beautifully finished real wood veneer.

A 6 dB per octave crossover seamlessly blends the outputs of the Dynaudio Esotec tweeter and the two 7″ Magnesium Silicate Polymer woofers. The woofers combine a large cone surface area with the power and control of dual drivers, thereby delivering a more precise and controlled reproduction of the signal. Pure aluminum voice coils produce breathtaking dynamics and definition. All the drivers are mounted to a metal baffle on the front of the loudspeaker ensuring an ideal operating environment.

A pair of Contour S 3.4’s cast a wide and deep soundstage with powerful dynamics. While revealing, the sound is never harsh or cold. Whether playing jazz, classical, rock, or solo vocals the 3.4’s deep bass, pure midrange, and sweet high frequencies will never fail to satisfy.

Despite their powerful bass capabilities the Contour S 3.4’s work well in small rooms. However, they are also capable of filling very large spaces with sufficient amplification. Perfect for a stereo music system or the mains of a home theater the 3.4’s produce beguiling sound with a wide range of electronics and setups.
