Focal Electra 1038BE Basalt Finish

This is a pair of perfect FOCAL ELECTRA 1038 BE Full Range speakers in the premium Basalt finish. This finish is no longer available from FOCAL. The speakers were in use 14 months before being traded in for a pair of Sopra No.3's.

This pair is in perfect condition. No scratch, mar, or flaw anywhere. They are listed as 9/10 because someone could find a mark on the speaker binding posts or the bottom of the feet. We do not have the original box but depending on destination they can be hand delivered almost anywhere in the continental U.S.

If they do end up being shipped we are very experienced in shipping large speakers. Our box and packing will be better than the original. Focal did not have very sturdy packing on this series and it rarely survived a repack in good condition.

There are many reviews on these speakers. The best I can say is that the Beryllium Tweeter is smoother than any other I have heard. The timber detail from the W sandwich cones is a thing of beauty. And the bass from 1038's is prodigious from this manufacturer which is known for being a bit lean.

The 1038's were known as the "budget Utopia" comparing very favorably with the Scala Utopia at over double the price.
