Pro-Ject RM 9.1 Turntable w/ 9CC Carbon Fiber Arm

When Pro-Ject designed the RM 9.1 they wanted to create a turntable that was mass loaded for ultra quiet operation, used high quality manufacturing and components, yet was easy to set-up and use.  Its was actually designed by Heinz Lichtenegger in Vienna for Pro-Ject and built at their factory.  Its a turntable for the audio lover but with the performance of a audiophile product. It also looks stunning with its thick acrylic platter, anthracite plinth and isolated motor pod.  

The single piece, carbon fiber tonearm is lighter and stiffer than previous versions and dissipates energy far better.  The 9.1 also upgraded the rubber and plastic feet with new machines aluminum feet coupled with Sorbothane.  Also an absorptive steel plate has been integrated to focus and funner vibration for a blacker blacks and better bass articulation.

The heavy and dense acrylic platter coupled with a low-friction inverted bearing give the table ultra low levels of drag and rumble.  The bearings high center of gravity also contribute to eliminating resonance to amazingly low levels.

The low noise levels of the 9.1 create engaging listening sessions that will convince you that this is not at all at $2500 table, but performing closer to ones costing much more.

Side Note:  Using Pro-Jects Speed box with this table adds a higher output power supply, electronic speed regulation and pitch control.  On this table the improvements are not subtle. (Speedbox not included)

This unit is a showroom demo, which has only been on display.  We've never mounted a cartridge on it.  Its in excellent condition and is ready for the cartridge of your choice.  The only blemish is a few small nicks on the top of the platter which will be hidden by a record mat. The original box, packing, record clamp, cables and all accys are included.
