I mean - the one that was in the wall looks pretty much exactly like the new one - I don't see any sort of degradation in quality/sound etc. in the old one.
Now to the sound - way lower noise floor. Music takes on a delicious flavor. :-)
This is for two Oyaide R1s. One is brand new (never used). The other one has been in the wall for a year or so, in my second system. I don't see any degradation.
