FREYA
BALANCED PASSIVE/ACTIVE REMOTE PREAMP (A $900.00+ Value)
http://www.schiit.com/products/freya

I bought this as a spare, second Freya tube preamp because they sound great and are relatively inexpensive. I’m the second owner of this one and the first owner set it up briefly and did not like it because it had very cheap tubes which do not sound that great. (this preamp will not sound great without higher quality NOS tubes). I used it only to test it and had it stored away in case anything happened to the Freya in my system.

I’m including a matched pair of NOS 6SN7GT - VT-231 JAN Sylvania, black plate clear glass, bottom getter, medium glass envelope tubes for the voltage gain stage. These tubes sound fantastic and were used only to test the preamp and cost $199 from Brent Jessee Recording & Supply, INC.

Also included are two new stock Russian tubes for the output stage, along with four new, cheaper Tung-Sol 6SN7GTB tubes (not the NOS tubes). It also comes with a cheaper, unused remote that was stock when this unit was purchased. A newer, much better, remote can be purchased from Schitt for $18.
