VAIC Audio Mastersound 32B

For sale I have a Mastersound build Vaic branded 32B integrated amplifier. It was a show demo so very low hours but the chrome has scratches and pits. This unit sat in a box for most of its life. Brand new 32B output tubes that have a 20 year life. Biased and a resistor replaced by Ralph at Atma-Sphere 20 watt class A per channel. Has Auto bias that has been calibrated by Ralph at Atma-Sphere Open and relaxed sounding.  Very quiet. Does not have the dry top end of an Ayon.
 A direct input allows the owner to use this as an amplifier only with the preamp of your choice. The small signal tubes are: 12AU7 (2) and 5687s (2) with 2 32B power tubes. If you want to use 300B you will need to get this unit rebiased. 300BXLS and other higher power 300B derivatives will also work and are available new from KR and Emission Labs. I think that the 32B offers you the best of both worlds. You get significantly more dynamics with better bass, but little to none of the organic midrange magic is lost. In my opinion, the 32B is superior to the 300B in every aspect. Superb Italian craftsmanship.  
It was stored in a temperature controlled space for over a decade. The 32B tubes were new (never used) in original box when I bought the amp. You will notice that the chrome seems to have degraded with some scratches in the front and some imperfections under the chrome- the scratches were the result of my attempt to polish the top. But none of this affects the amazing sound and build quality Almost like pitting under the surface. I am showing many pictures to give you all of the details. All other aspects of this unit are very good to excellent.
