Concert Fidelity ZL120v2SE

For sale I have a beautiful pair of Concert Fidelity ZL120v2SE monoblocks. These units with 120v transformers (NOT 230V) were built in Japan in 2012, are originals, NOT FACTORY UPGRADES OR REFURBISHED. Serial numbers are 112015, 112016 and for sale opportunities on a set like this does not come up often.  

This model replaces the V2 with larger transformers used in the ZL200 amplifiers that provide doubling the current for demanding loads. This model achieves greater dynamic ease with more bass control than the earlier V2 model while maintaining the magic musicality of the CF line. NOTE: I am only selling these units to create funds to buy the latest upgrade model CF ZL120FX monoblocks.   

Concert Fidelity electronics are designed by Masataka Tsuda of Japan and built with a fanatic attention to detail and simplicity (audio jewelry) for achieving musically authentic results. Masa has been designing electronics for 45 years. A review of this amplifier can be found online @ stereotimes.com dated December 2012 and hits the mark on description of sound quality that I hear also. Also google Steve Hoffman forums as Mr. Hoffman himself has used and owns the gear for mastering and can attest to its sonic tributes.  Simply described these amplifiers are capable of bridging the gap between tubes and SS in casting a huge three-dimensional soundstage with depth of tone, tremendous resolution, speed, ambiance and micro-detail, and are classified as some of the best unique designs of all time. 

I am currently using them to drive my Alsyvox Botticelli panel speakers (and they sound like electrostatics with these) but have heard them driving Magico Q3 and the Gamut RS7i speakers that require much more current. They are also capable of having the precision to drive horns and have heard them do so.  I have rated these units an 8/10 due to age and a small blemish as photographed. The blemish is just that and not a scratch in the finish. Other than that they are spotless.
