TTWeights Audio Gem V2 Turntable w/Avro Super Precision Tonearm. Turntable is in good condition and was traded in from a working system, but has been sitting dormant since. This is a very unique rim-drive system that has massive material construction to the plinth, motor pillar and arm pillar. The company went out of business in 2015, but was well regarded at that time. We have what I believe is all the original boxes, packing and accessories - including manuals. This model has the copper platter, which I believe was an upgrade option. Original selling price is believed to be $7,000.00.

Hefty copper platter. The GEM is a rigid design DC Servo, optical encoder based direct rim/belt drive turntable. The motor, arm pod, power supply and controller are separate decoupled devices. Delrin Remote Arm Pod Mount, OAK and Aluminum Plinth Exclusive Acetal Outer Rim Drive Decoupled Platter or Tri-Belt Drive. This is the most unique decoupling system ever designed for a record player. The 13.5 inch Acetal Rim Drive is mated to the main platter with special tension fit installation. This provides a mechanical decoupling from the driven rim to the record platter.

Our direct DC servo controlled rim drive tables offer unparalleled pace, rhythm and time (PRAT) and the most intense dynamics possible. The low contact forces, .0004 (4/10 of one thousands of an inch rim tolerance) and absolute concentric platter systems offer the lowest possible wow and flutter that can be manufactured. We employ 4 and 5 axis CNC machines equipped with glass scales that have cutting resolution to +/-.00005 of an inch.

Our servo drive controller have two on board CPU's providing from 18,000 (GEM) to 24,000(MOMENTUS) control pulses per platter revolution. Designed by people who worked for NASA and BOEING). The housing are billet aluminum with beautiful and durable powder coated exteriors. Absolute RFI/EMI shielding for no interference with your electronics. The power supply is 24 volt, DC and is a separate unit.

The newly designed one piece bearing shaft is precisely controlled in the 3 axis of rotation by the custom forged and CNC machined Oilite bearing. Uniquely providing a single point and self aligning (no ball) thrust surface area of < .005/inch (CNC .002 Radius machined point) and provides a near zero friction point and run out in all axis.

The rotating shaft is immersed in an oil well providing long lasting extreme lubrication and superb vibration control. An extremely coefficient low drag, less than .0002 concentricity at the outer diameter of the platter is a truly concentric device bringing wow and flutter to near unreadable numbers……tonality, depth and accuracy of pitch naturally follows. These ARE aircraft tolerances, the closest you will find on any drawing or specification.

These bearing are precisely inspected with a .00002 air bore gauge system for ISO standard control.
