I am the original owner. The streamer was bought in 2013 from a local Bryston dealer (London Audio, London, Ontario). I used it in my main system with an external DAC, but recently upgraded to a network DAC. The unit has the latest firmware S2.44 2020-12-01 and is in good condition with no defects on the front plate or box. The unit was mostly controlled via phone/tablet apps, so the front plate was rarely touched. 8/10 is marked conservatively. The unit will be sent in the original packaging and original instructions/booklet. No remote was purchased with BDP-1 (an optional item).

I used BDP-1 primarily as MPD player or LMS client, but www-dashboard->services also list ROON, shairplay, and DLNA, but I never tested these options. BDP-1 has standard digital audio outs (AES/EBU + spdif) activated with ESI_Juli@ internal sound card inside (www) dashboard->audio_devices. This works with any DAC with such inputs. I connected my DAC using one of USB outputs at the back of BDP-1. Once plugged in, this USB DAC appeared in addition to the internal sound card (ESI_Juli@) in dashboard->audio_devices. It can be selected from there. If you plan to use USB-out for connecting your USB-DAC, email Bryston support to confirm if BDP-1 USB port will recognize your particular model. Their customer service is good/responsive. I can only confirm that USB out worked well with my Berkeley (alpha-USB + DAC 2).

BDP-1 was connected to my home network via its ethernet port. It was streaming music files (mostly flacs upto 24-192) from a synology NAS connected to the same "switch". Note that I could not play files from a USB stick plugged into one USB port at the same time as feeding another USB port to the DAC. There might be a simple solution for this (e.g. a different USB stick or self-powered USB memory), but I never bothered to call Bryston about this as I only cared about feeding my USB DAC from the network.
