Operationally...

As with all the Fletcher TT Designs this Low Torque Motor starts manually.
Its new improved motor & bearing combination is included and operates very quiet & flawless.

The Cornet 1 Tonearm uses a New Unique Approach ...

Unipivot arms are usually designed with the pivot sitting in a silicon bath which as the silicon settles so does the sound of the arm.

Cornet's Unipivot design uses a new approach :

To maintain azimuth, along with a special material, developed with Viscosit as to require " settling time ".
A hi-tech fibre tube with fibre's along the length , not wrapped around the arm, greatly increases the strength & resonance .

The combination with the supplied Goldring 1042 MM cartridge if MM is indeed your personal preference is just stunning throughout . I did as well try my older Dynavector DV-50X MC Cartridge which was just as impressive as the aforementioned.

Both these cartridges being close to the same price point it was my first experience with a Goldring Cartridge I highly recommended it...

Listening to a number of Iconic Jazz Pressings I could hear the wood of the upright bass and the resin of the musicians fingers thru all the sound frequencies same with all the instrumentation.

The Piano sound here was quite exquisite with the decay of the lowest notes finishing not just rolling off as it were, the horns depth and crispness when called upon were as well colored nor homogenized in any way.

The vocals were true to life as well with the said recording predicting the outcome as the stylus hits the groove !

Hearing the "tips of the sticks " and kick drum with cymbals in full creative percussive unison was indeed breathtaking ...

It was truly a "Live you are there experience" that all audiophiles & music enthusiasts are in search of.
All music I auditioned was indeed portrayed in the way it was recorded no additives or preservatives lol...
The 180gr and Half Speed Master Vinyl Pressing were out of this world and worth the investment.
