RESTORED SA-50 MKIII
Fully restored and upgraded by Ralph at Plinius Repairs. All new Nichicon Gold or MUSE audio grade electrolytic capacitors. Nichicon Silver HI-SOUND power supply capacitors. Mills low inductance emitter resistors. Audience AuriCap XO bypass caps. Shottky FRED rectifier in power supply and line amp supply. Belleson low noise voltage regulators. Cardas internal power wiring with Furutech Rhodium IEC connector. 50 Watt per channel Class A/Class AB amplifier switchable from front panel. LED installed to indicate when in Class A. All new relays, switches and fuse holders. Installed ceramic fuses in rails and IEC. Ground lift switch installed.
The SA-50 MKIII was the first SA amplifier designed by Plinius of New Zealand that started their well established SA series Class A amplifiers. Amplifier is warranted for a full year by Plinius Repairs. One rear heat sink is slightly bent but can't be seen from the front. Ceramic fuses installed after picture was taken.
