Infinity Kappa 9

Infinity 9 Kappa Classic floor-standing speakers

Two vintage Infinity 9 Kappa floor-standing speakers (serial numbers K-14005 and K-14006) purchased new in 1988 in Eastern Pennsylvania for about $3,000 each. They were shipped to our home in Florida in 1992 and cabinet near one of the rear-firing EMIT K tweeters got a gouge. I repaired it with wood filler (photo); the EMIT driver is working fine and the purely cosmetic defect is out of site against the wall.

These are cosmetically almost perfect!

Condition of drivers / couplers:

• • One of the mid-bass couplers (PolyGRAPH K) may not be working.
    • One Kappa speaker has a SEMIT tweeter that is not working.
    • I have two new EMIT ribbons that can easily be soldered into the old EMITs if they do not work. Happy to include them in the package.
    • I have NO SEMIT ribbons, but guess that these may be available.
  • I do NOT want anyone getting these to be disappointed, or to think I’ve misrepresented them.
  • Please accept “as is” or contact me ASAP for questions.

These are BIG units (photo) , and we will be downsizing our home, and of necessity shrinking the theater/listening room— thus, the primary motivation for selling them.

I am offering them FREE to a good home, but NEED PICKUP, or arrange shipping for us.
