This is our exclusive WiiM Ultra streamer featuring the Teddy Pardo bipolar linear outboard power supply.
The addition of the Linear Power Supply (featuring the Tedinator discrete voltage regulators) is a night and day difference over the stock switch mode power supply that ships with the WiiM units. This modification does take some surgery, so we perform each upgrade here at Hardcore Hi-Fi, putting each unit through a thorough burn in process prior to shipping.

The power supply is the heartbeat of every single piece of electronic equipment. If the power supply is substandard, everything that relies on it will be hampered, unable to perform at the highest abilities of its design.
While a switch mode power supply will certainly provide power to a unit very inexpensively, it does so at the cost of noise, high electro magnetic interference , slow transient response and cheap, failure prone components that cause downtime and frustration.
