McIntosh MC-30 audio amplifier. 30 Watts.
Model MC-30. Type A-116--B. Serial No. 14279.
Up for sale is my Pops' McIntosh MC30 which was his "back up amp" until about 1965. This unit has been in storage and has not been powered on for approximately 60 years. The condition of the tubes and components is unknown . Service sticker indicates last service was in 1968.
Chrome chassis has been recently cleaned using a high-quality metal cleaner and polish. This is all that has been done to this unit since pulled from storage.
Power cord is dry-rotted and disintegrating and will need replacement (see pic). The output transformer cover has a small indentation on top and power transformer cover has a scratch on top (see photo). Has a little bit of pitting on the chassis in a just few spots (see photos). Internal components look quite original (bumblebee capacitors, etc).
This classic is being sold as-is.
