Magnepan SMGa need refurbishing

I purchased the tweeter kit from Magnepan, it will be included as the tweeters definitely need to be replaced.

I have for sale a set of mostly non-functioning Magnepan SMGa. I took these on trade last summer with the thought of refurbishing them myself. I haven't had time and I have decided to just sell them outright.

One speaker had bass/mid output only and the other had no sound. I did very little troubleshooting, but after removing the socks, it is obvious that the tweeters have corroded and are shot, need to be replaced. I don't know why the bass/mid section isn't working in the one speakers. The crossover components all look ok. The mylar also looks ok. I'll have pictures available tonight.

The brown socks are in decent shape if you want to reuse them. The metal trim is brass and has lots of pitting and wear and should be repainted. The brown feet are included.

I can ship them directly to Magnepan in Minnesota for you.

You will get: 2 dusty mostly non-working Magnepan SMGa only good for refurbishing. Included are the original brown socks, brass trim pieces and screws, brown Magnepan feet.

I will pack these well in a single box that will weigh about 65lbs.
