I bought this 3 weeks ago from Sight + Sound Gallery in Atlanta. It looks, and sounds great. I auditioned it with a $50,000 set of Pass Labs Rushmore active speakers. I also listened to it with Sennheiser HD 650 headphones. Both were impressive. In the end, I have decided to just keep and use Compact Disc player. It cost 3 times what the Altair does and sounds almost as good. I just want to keep things very simple, and don't have time to copy my 3,500 CDs to a hard drive.
The Altair is backordered in most stores in the US. Save $200 or more and get one that is like new, still under warranty and immediately available.
I will pay the shipping and PayPal fees.
