Linn Akurate DS-1 network streamer in Silver color

Fantastic network streamer from Linn, the folks that practically invented network streamers! Linn's amazing Akurate network streamer, second only to their much more expensive ($22K!!)  Klimax DS!  If you've been wanting to ditch your CD player and use your computer or NAS drive to store all your music, this is the one!  Can not only stream 16bit FLAC files or Apple Lossless, but will do a miriad of other kinds of files including MP3 and 24 bit (better than CD)  resolution files effortlessly!  Stream over 100,000 internet FM radio stations as well as internet services such as Pandora, Tidal, Spotify and many others. I ditched a much more expensive CD player and couldn't be happier.  Simplify your music storage system (get rid of your CDs!) and improve your digital sound at the same time. 
This type of streamer is truly the wave of the future and Linn leads the way.  Your computer or NAS drive no longer has to be "tethered" to a DAC by a 25 ft or less USB cable.  This unit connects to your home ethernet wiring, which means your Linn Akurate DS can be anywhere in the house as long as there's an ethernet connection near it and your computer--even 100ft away!  (can't do that with a USB cable!)  OR, so ethernet over AC power line so you don't have to rewire your entire house with CAT 5 or 6 cables.  No moving parts, so reliability and longetivity is top notch, especially compared to a CD player which it would replace!  
Has both RCA and XLR (balanced) outputs.  Linn remote is included, of course, but for easiest operation a smart phone or iPad (or equivalent) or computer is recommended to control it.    
In very good to excellent, all original box and packing.  Only selling to upgrade to the Klimax version.
