Marten Design Duke in Cherry

In am selling my beautiful Marten Duke speakers and will include the matching stands. I purchased these as demo models, so I am the original owner. I have had them for a little over 3 years. I have had 2 other pairs of speakers in my system, so these were rotated in and out of my system and have not been used continuously over the 3 year period. They are in very good condiition and sound as good as the day I received them.
There is one small blemish in the upper right hand corner of one of the speakers and I have tried to capture that in one of the photos. This was there when I purchased the speakers, and was disclosed to me before I bought them. I have honestly not even noticed the very tiny mark during their time in my system, and it in no way impacts the performance.
Robert Levi wrote a very informative and glowing review of these speakers for Positive Feedback a few years ago. In his review he states "The Marten Dukes are just plain amazing and, I believe, the best of their breed yet produced. Not only are the Dukes extraordinary, but they are important speakers that deserve attention and auditioning. The impression of boxlessness and infinite transparency is stunning to hear. Expensive? Yes. Worth every penny and more? Absolutely. The Dukes are a true high-end reference speaker for the top audiophile and music lover searching for stand mounted monitor speakers. End of story. "
These are the original version of the Dukes and not version 2 that were released 2 or 3 years ago. They truly are amazing speakers, and are a great value at this price. I should add that the speakers stands originally had silver posts and I have spray painted them a flat black which I think looks much better. You can see the stands in the photos. They are in good shape but there are some very fine scratches on the top surface of the base plates as they are a gloss black. I believe the fine scratched were left by cleaning rags that were used to remove dust.
