It also has a 4 input DAC with USB input included. It was originally sold by me so it is a one owner unit. It is in superb shape as shown on the photos. Hifi Choice said in their review: "Perhaps that's the key thing about the A1008. It does so much for the sound across the board, its hard to think of anything that can do better without costing a lot more. That makes it a tough act to follow" They summed up with: "A one-size-fits-all design that will make any good pair of speakers sound better than you might imagine. Given that anything with the same power deliver and performance cost a lot more, this is a real groundbreaker (and groundshaker)." The A1008 is a 250 watts per channel remote controlled, two box design, with the second box housing a very large choke regulated power supply to keep all magnetic interference away from the amp stage and DAC. The main chassis also houses a very fine 24 bit, 192k upsampling DAC that is comparable to Musical Fidelity's best DAC's. In addition to 2 coaxial and one optical inputs it also has a USB input to run your computer thru. The amp circuit used in the A1008 is the same as the $10,000 KW-550, other than the 3db less power of that 500 watt monster. With 250 watts and 400 into 4 ohms the 1008 will drive virtually all speakers. The preamp stage is the same tube based preamp as used in the $10,000 KW-550. It has 4 line inputs as well as a high quality phono stage that will handle both MM and MC cartridges. It also has a line out to run subwoofers and a home theater pass thru to integrated the 1008 into a home theater system and use its front amps to run your front speakers. There is a fixed out and digital outs for recording as well. This is one serious $6000.00 amp being sold at a great deal. It is in superb shape.
