Magna Riser 1.7/1.6 Low Riser Magnepan stands
with cryogenically treated replacement jumper wires are available for immediate purchase.
These are high performance limited edition cost
effective designs. The Low Riser is the result of the combined testing and critically
listening to dozens of prototypes for over two years. The extensive R&D allowed for
a combination of metal types, metal gauges and sizing and new resonance tuning
approaches that allow your Magnepans to more fully realize their sonic abilities.
The stands are stable, great looking (finished in a nearly indestructible
commercial gloss black powder coat) and offer a sound that is musically
revealing and involving. We may tell you we make high performance cost
effective upgrades for your Maggies but below is a partial list of feedback and

| Hello. I've wanted to upgrade the stock feet on my 1.7s for a few years, but struggled with the idea of spending $600+ on the MYE stands, which I can't even audition! Your ad caught my attention, and $220 is a more reasonable sum! Would it be possible to see more pictures of the 1.7 stands? Agon prevents the ability to view pics larger. Thanks, Jerry Dear Jerry, Thank you for your interest in the 1.7 Low Riser Magna Riser stands. They are labors of love and an 1/8" off in machining and they will not even mount. They take a lot of time to build and the wait once built from our commercial powder coater can be as long as a month for these limited edition stands to be powder coated. They are a bit of an aggravation to build but the great feedback they have received from every owner keeps them in production although our margins on them is very small.
We go out of our way to keep our designs affordable but we will not offer any model that we do not find to truly move the performance of a specific Magnepan toward more fully realizing their potential. Many prototypes were built before the design was finalized and a lot of listening went into the final decision to release this model. Several prototype pairs were sent to owners for feedback and everyone seemed to hear what we were hearing. We had other designs that probably would have had a great reception because of their look ( geometry ) but we could not optimize the sound to make them something we would be excited to see go into people's homes. They offered sonic gains but left to much of the "magic" out of the performance that occurs when we really dial in a design.
I will try to attach a few photos but it looks like Audiogon does not offer provosoons to this.
Our powder coater works hard to offer a very durable and attractive finish. The black gloss has a black tie- dressed up look. We have been through multiple metals finishers trying to find one who combines affordability with a look that would be welcomed into peoples homes. For the modest investment these stands really deliver. They may be affordable but they do not compromise on sonic performance.
