Dealer trade in for upgrade to 3.7i. The 1.7 has been known since its initial appearance (2010) as one of the great bargains in audioland. They are still a fine speaker. I personally have owned a lot of Maggies, starting with the MG 12s, going through the 1.6s, 1.7s, 3.6s and 3.7is and feel that in my room the 1.7s may have been the best fit. While the claim is that you need a lot of watts to properly drive Maggies, I used an Audio Research VSi 60 (50 watts) and found it very good at driving the 1.7s. These are functioning as intended, and cosmetically are fine with no grill cloth or trim issues. Feet may have a minor scratch or 2. I have rated them 8/10 due to age. I am not sure of the exact age, but to find actual manufacture date, call Magnepan with the serial # below. Serial #: 102549-1/2 Dimensions: 65" high, 19" wide and 2" deep. Footprint with stands is about 18" deep and 19" wide. 45 lbs. Will ship in the original factory box and padding/packing. Shipping dimensions: 74 x 22 x 6, 100 lbs.
