Slide-In / Slide-Out MOV Module
The Power Plant Duet uses advanced MOVs that react to any dangerous power surge. The unit will automatically disconnect the load (and itself) from the line during excessive high/low line conditions.

But in the unlikely event that an extreme power surge like a lightning strike should ever manage to damage the MOVs, you don't have to replace the entire component. You can simply slide out the MOV filter module and replace it with another one, without having to send the unit back to PS Audio for repair!

Performance Enhancing Nanocrystalline Filter
In addition to surge protection, the Duet also provides highly effective, performance enhancing power conditioning that can dramatically improve the sound and picture quality of your AV gear.

At the heart of the power conditioning is revolutionary state-of-the-art circuitry. The nanocrystalline ceramic filter stops noise and distortion far better than older materials. This is premium technology. Nanocrystalline filters cost five times as much as ordinary filters, but remove noise distortion to below 100 kHz – where ordinary filters do nothing. This advanced PS Audio filter also requires fewer coil windings than other power conditioners, so it doesn't impede audio band performance like standard power products can.

Nanocrystalline technology provides audio and video benefits such as lower noise and better isolation. This adds up to vivid colors for video systems and open, spacious 'you are there' audio performance.

The Duet doesn't use run of the mill AC receptacle. PS Audio is as fussy about its connections as it is about every other aspect of the Duet.
