For sale is one incredible BAT (Balanced Audio Technologies) VK-500 amp. This is a dual mono amp so what you are getting is two amps in a single chassis. This amp was a breakthrough in design by Victor Khomenko in that his design uses only N type transistors. There are only two gain stages. I am a lover of tube amps but this solid state unit is the closest to having a tube like sound with all the benefits of solid state that I have ever heard. I will regret when it sells but I have too many things in the house, and after much deliberation, I am going with a pair of tubed monoblock amps; the choice was not an easy one to make. This amp also has the "Bat Pak" option.
I could go on about how great this is but there are several excellent reviews online about this amp.
Make no mistake - this is a large amp. It weighs 103 pounds. Local pick-up/delivery is strongly encouraged. I am willing to drive a good distance to help facilitate delivery. I have rated this a "7" only because I am the second owner and there are some very fine light scratches on the top. Otherwise this amp is in very good condition.

That is a very good question. I have been grappling with this shipping issue since the first time I listed it. There are several key things that affect the shipping such as: shipping to a business vs. a home, a lift gate truck needed to off-load the amp or is the person who is receiving the parcel able to offload the truck without the help of the driver and so on? If I can get the weight under 149 pounds than I can ship it FedEx Ground but I would need to have either a crate made or something that will withstand the weight of the amp plus the manhandling of the FedEx people.
Would you be willing to give me a few days, say two, to figure this out? I might split shipping costs if need be just to help make this doable. I almost laugh when I think it would be easier for me to drive it to you...

As I said, if you can provide me with a business to which I can ship it saves the commercial freight truck from going down a residential street and that saves a lot. If you can provide me with a specific address or addresses I can get a work-up. I have a man who is in the shipping industry on a "stand-by" to help me with this. I can see about a rough estimate for shipping with freight, and then with FedEx Ground, though I am still pondering how to pack this beast so as to get the total weight under 149 pounds...
