Belles MB200 Mono Block Amplifiers

Offered for sale is one pair of Belles MB200 top of the line Statement Series mono amplifiers with consecutive S/N's. Rated at 200W per channel into 8 ohms and 400W into 4 ohms. Both are in excellent condition and have been completely reliable. Includes original boxes, power cords, and manual.

These amps seem to have limitless drive while remaining completely composed. Nothing but smooth, fatigue free listening. Although I normally listen at low levels. They really don't have a character of their own, but are rather chameleon-like, simply sounding like whatever is upstream feeding them. Tube pre-amps sound liquid and holographic, SS preamps sound clean and detailed. If the music is dynamic and detailed, you can hear it. If the music is liquid, so is the sound. I hadn't heard this to this extent with previous SS amps owned. They are also very quiet with a black background. They do hi-res digital justice with my Aurender/Auralic front-end. Although the stock PC's are included, the sound does improve with upgraded cords.

These units are very nicely constructed with anodized aluminum plate casework, being fairly heavy for their size. No resonating sheet metal here. Still-point feet are utilized to further isolate.

I do have a matching Belles LA-01 SS preamp as well. I wasn't planning on selling at this time but will consider it if having a matched set is important to the buyer. I have used this pre as well as an Emotive Audio Sira, which is listed separately, with good results. A Modwright LS100 sounded pretty good too. An upcoming move has put me in sell mode.
