Orig. owner Purchased Feb. 2015 from Reno Hi-Fi. Under warranty until Feb.2018. No issues cosmetically or functionally. Used to drive Zu Def IV speakers with Zu Event cable. Factory double box in good shape. Ser. No. 29513.

| Excellent! was researching the x30.8. However, I see a few for demos for sale by Reno Hifi and a few on the internet. Do you believe the the power output was adequate? Could you tell a significant difference from your previous amp? This is a great hobby, just looking for a sonic increase for my McIntosh tube amp and Manley tube phono stage. A Dealer suggested the xa25 for my system. I have heard the x30.8 has more power.

Rob M The power was all I needed for my speakers which are very efficient Whether it would be for you depends on your speakers. Pass amps are beautifully built and fantastic sounding. However they are quite expensive and I think many people buy the least expensive in the line hoping they will be happy, but perhaps it doesn't match the efficiency of the speakers or the size of the room or the type of music they play so they decide to sell. I think thats why you see them for sale. But if they match your speakers they really are beautiful and reliable. |
