I just picked up this Technics SP-10 from the original owner including the original receipt dated March 22, 1974. It has the SME 3009 tonearm, the SH-10B1 base, and SH-10B2 dust cover along with an Ortofon ML 30 cartridge. It looks almost new! Should be a 9 of 10 but I rated it an 8 as there is one very small mark on the right front corner as can be seen in the pictures. This is the first series SP-10.
Along with the original receipt, I have the sepia paper layout template unused and perfect along with the SP-10 brochure, the owner's manual, the unpacking document, the warranty card, pretty much everything except the original box. It also includes the 45 RPM adaptor.
I REALLY DO NOT KNOW WHERE TO PRICE THIS SO I PICKED $1500--NO IDEA IF THIS IS HIGH OR LOW AS THIS IS A TIME CAPSULE FIND SO PLEASE GIVE ME FEEDBACK.
I did not plan on buying this. I went to buy VMPS Super Tower III speakers that the owner modified to simulate the Special Ribbon Edition. These are huge but very cool. The guy built what looks like his own external crossovers for these.
I now have six turntables so some need to go. I listed some others and plan on possibly keeping this based on what else sells. I also have a Pro-Perspex in excellent condition with original box, packing, etc, with a Denon DL-301II cartridge that I will list later for $1200.
I can supply plenty of additional pictures and would prefer pickup but am confident that it will be packed prefectly if shipped.
I might be open to trades for a decent CD player.
I prefer Paypal and will absorb the fees.
I will also be listing some Bryston Amps. I have a pair of 7B ST's for $2900 and a 4B ST for $1450, all in excellent condition with original boxes and paperwork. I will be selling one or the other, keeping what does not sell.
