GAS AMPZILLA AMPLIFIER II "REBUILT”
This Ampzilla was rebuilt by Mike Bettinger at GAS Audio 3 years ago.
There’s way to many parts to list that were upgraded and replaced (see pictures).
I have the history on the Amp going back 30+ years. The Amp just came back for GAS from having it calibrated, Bias, DC offset adjusted and having the speaker outputs replaced.
Gas rebuilt the left and right channel to the last rev.
the rebuilt cost was:
375.00 and 515.00 to upgrade left and right channels and replace the following.
125.00 this week for having it calibrated, Bias, DC offset adjusted and having the speaker outputs replaced
Here’s some to the things that were replaced.
Power Transistors with new Motorola ON Semi Transistors
Power Capacitors
Driver Transistors with new Motorola ON Semi transistors
Audio board Capacitors with Nichicon Audio Capacitors
Ceramic capacitors with better quality film capacitors (
All lamps
Fuses
Replaced some of the wiring with better qty.
Replaced cooling fan and added restore to quit fan.
Voltage adjustments to Manufacturer specifications
Didn’t think I would get rid of it but I’m going into tubes.
Shipping maybe less, I will have to use a double box.
