For sale single owner EL34 based 30 watt per channel auto biasing French made push pull integrated tube amp. Tubes are 1 and 1/2 year old matched cyro Golden Lions from Upscale Audio except for driver tube which is an original NOS Mullard that has been in amp for years. Sorry about the remote in which a dog chewed a bit of the remote many years ago. Still works perfect. Micro volume is a really nice touch. Of course a universal remote can work the unit as well.
I used/owned about 10 to 15 amps before settling on this amp 16 years ago including two other el34 amps. Only selling as I have always wanted to own Magnepans (30 watts will not get it done) and the audiophile in me is screaming at me if not now when. Look no further than this amp if a el34 amp is what you want to own. I will double box. Feel free to ask questions. There have never been any issues in all the years I have owned.

| I have read some folks say that when you switch tubes you need to send them to the manufacturer to have the bias reset. Has that been your experience? Did you do this when you put the GL tubes in? Hi There. You've done your homework. The answer as an owner was the only negative thing about owning amp that it seems was never an issue in the first place was this subject. So, yes when an el34 tube starting wearing out after about eight years I did send my amp to the US authorized repair place after being sent new tubes from the Canadian distributer. All was well, amp came back with a clean bill of health and then the new el34 tubes started failing. Distributer sent new tubes with same values which failed as well. Ends up distributor was sold counterfeit tubes which became a story you may have read. I talked with US repair man who said and I quote " as long as you buy a matched set el 34 low values" which I did there are no worries as the tube amp does self bias with no issues. All has been well since. No issues what so ever. Love the amp. Just selling for the reason mentioned that I need a higher power amp. Quite surprised no one has bought yet. |
