VTL DELUXE 300 VACUUM TUBE MONO AMPLIFIER PAIR ICONIC DAVID MANLEY DESIGN CIRCA 1988 GORGEOUS CONDITION STELLAR PAIR This listing is for a vintage pair of VTL Deluxe 300 vacuum tube mono power amplifiers. These are consecutive serial numbers AMD3005311 and AMD3005312. This pair is in excellent working condition. Both amplifiers reproduce sound that is clean, clear, and engaging. The power tubes are all Ei Yugoslavia branded VTL KT90. I have been listening to these amplifiers in my video based system and find no faults. Associated equipment Ayre K-5xeMP preamplifier B&W 804 D3 loudspeakers. Film soundtracks and music concert events are reproduced with clarity and coherence. Noise levels are very low you have to literally place your ear on the tweeter or midrange drivers to hear any tube rush. These are some the quietest tube amplifiers I have had here. Cosmetic condition is stellar on both units. These are also physically clean with no dirt or nicotine contamination. Included will be the power cords. IMO better than AG 8/10 description rating Due to the age and volatility of vintage tube gear this pair will be sold with no return or guarantee. To achieve top performance the testing of each tube and checking/adjusting the amplifier bias is recommended. Obviously if you are going to roll other tubes or change to KT88 or 6550 variants bias adjustment a must.
