Unparalleled workmanship here, a real thing of beauty. So smooth, with such tight tolerances (no give at all, nothing loose or wobbly--just pure perfection). It is the 10"version with ebony arm. No blemishes that I can see except for the plastic screw-down ground wire cap is a bit chewed up. I suppose that could be an easy replace if so desired.
Comes with original box, two counter weights, tonearm assembly jig, and brass+steel mounting plate. Also included is a unique custom-made arm pod/base made of cocobolo and ebony with a heavy 7 lb brass weight inside. This way you can use this arm with any table even if you do not have an extra mount (just use the jig to position it at correct distance). The base is exactly 5.5" tall and there is another approx 2" to play with as you can adjust VTA via the tonearm/mounting plate interface.
I'll cover domestic insured shipping (international buyers please inquire about postage to your country) and paypal fee.
Feel free to send along any questions and I'll do my best...
Thanks!
Mike

Hello Mike,
Just wonder what size Hex-wrench S/2 is needed to adjust VTA?
Kurt Hi Kurt-
I'll check tomorrow and get back to you. I can include the hex wrench if you don't have that particular size...

I have a basis debut. Will this work with the arm. Hi,
Nice table. Yes, it will work just fine. You'd have to place the arm directly to the right of the platter or directly behind as I think the columns of the Debut would be in the way for a 2 o'clock positioning. This tonearm base is 5 1/2" tall and the arm has adjustable VTA so you have maybe another 1.5 to 2 inches to play with. If you needed more height you could obviously place the arm pod on something else like a granite slab, And I think the debut has adjustable height (?) if the plinth isn't quite 5.5" tall.
You would just use the accompanying jig to space the arm pod the exact distance away from spindle, very easy.
Let me know if you have any other questions...
best,
Mike |
