The VTL Power Optimizer Device ( POD ) is a power management tool designed to work with large powerful amps to lessen the stress on your circuit breaker and your amps.

Many people report that their breaker trips or "buzzes" when a Powerful VTL amp is turned on. 
This eventually wears down the circuit breaker. 
VTL designed the POD MOD for this situation..

VTL Signature amps can have an in-rush current in excess of 50 amps. With the VTL POD MOD in the circuit the maximum in-rush current can be reduced to 15 amps to reduce the wear on the amp at turn-on.
After completing the power cycle, the Power Optimizer is isolated and the AC power is connected directly to your amplifier. 
The SIG version was designed for MB-450, MB-185 Signature amps or the ST-150 Stereo Amp.
