Over engineered Basis Audio Model 2500 turntable with detached AC Synchronous motor pod, 2” thick acoustically inert acrylic sub chassis, 18Lb precision platter (pls see the pic of the underside platter) from the Top-of-the-Line Debut along with the absolute best designed bearing, a hardened steel, low-tolerance-spec thrust bearing assembly also from the flagship Debut TT. The four oil dampened feet provide easy leveling of the TT by simply rotating the feet. The bearing shaft is non-magnetic, electrically conductive and has a ground wire to drain static charges. The use of a stand-alone motor pod eliminates any need or worry about motor vibration entering the playback system, unlike the vast majority of TTs’.

The Graham 2.2 arm is a perfect match to the Basis with its brass pivot point and fluid dampening. The arm also features a
Removeable arm tube that makes cartridge installation and switching in and out much easier than other hi-end arms. The armtube clip that holds the armtube in the rest is broken. I used it this way and never thought about replacing the part.

The TT comes with a Basis supplied dark smoke colored dust cover the has cutouts on the back panel for the tonearm counterweights and also for the motor. The dust cover does have two cracks in the rear panel on the left side as viewed from the front. Picture is included. The cracks do not affect the dustcover and are in the rear/back of the TT.

Includes the Basis record clamp and Graham cartridge alignment gauge.
