Emerald Physics & REL EP-2.3 & Stentor III Martin Logan with Weight

For sale is a 6 month old pair of Emerald Physics EP-2.3 (the latest evolution of the legendary CS-2.3mkII) read the review on The Absolute Sound. I would sell the Emerald EP-2.3's for 2800 without the REL and then they can be reprogrammed to play down to 22hz on their own!

They are a dipole speaker like Martin Logan (dispersion control from sound wave cancellation on the sides) so the room has less detrimental effects. And much more efficiency (95db efficiency!) and they have no lack of "weight" and "authority" that some complain is missing from a Martin Logan due to the inability for the thin diaphragm to achieve. They also do NOT have an impedance dipping below 1 ohm like the Logans I used to own. It is true they don't have quite the speed/detail in midrange frequencies of an electrostat but due to there being no back pressure having no enclosure, there's a noticeable increase in speed compared to enclosed speaker designs. Truly amazing and unique concept.

It's set up to run with their crossover programmed at 40hz as a package deal with a REL Stentor III which is around 2 years old. These speakers could be configured to run on their own down to about 22hz but with the REL it's allowing your amp to see less stress plus the REL goes below 15hz. Smokin' deal only because I prefer local pickup but I will ship if necessary. I would also separate the Emerald EP-2.3's to sell on their own for 3300

The Emerald Physics retail for $6k and have the optional black tri-coat finish that sells for $1.2k (therefore total retail is normally $7200) not including what the sub sold for new.

The REL is a legendary sub in near perfect condition and sold for over $5k new.

Our unique Aperture Bass Propagation technology, as introduced in the original CS2.3, is continued in the EP2.3. This proprietary system is used for both 15" dipole woofers, improving low frequency power and linearity, while retaining all the speed and articulation of the original CS2 & 2.3. DSP equalization and active crossover functions are provided by the included new Emerald Physics DSP2.4 Digital crossover/EQ processor.

The new EP2.3 now shipping, will also have an upgradable outboard passive midrange/tweeter crossover and the beautiful new cosmetics as introduced in the CS2P. The EP2.3 was redesigned from the ground up using the original Emerald Physics design concepts with all new parts. There are no parts from the original CS2.3 used in this new version.
