This set is specially made in the lengths that are appropriate for an exact fit for the dCS Scarlatti stack. Brings the best out of DSD.
The cable set consists of the following:
(two) DualConduit Firewire cables - (one) 0.8-meter (regular price $549.00), (one) 0.7-meter (regular price $539.00)
(one) 1.2-meter AES/EBU cable for Transport to Upsampler (regular price $475.00)
(three) BNC cables - (one) 1.3-meter for Transport to Clock (regular price $475.00), (one) 0.8-meter for DAC to Clock (regular price $425.00), (one) 0.3-meter for Upsampler to Clock (regular price $389.00)
Please visit our web site for a full thesis on our design technologies, but as a brief synopsis, this cable set features:
•Deep cryogenic treated five-nines (5N) ultra-pure solid core CryoSilverTM conductors
•Big AirTM dielectrics
•Transparent Teflon isolators
•Progressive Hand WrapTM discreet shields for each conductor pole, isolating each conductor/dielectric sub-assembly from all others within the array - eliminates EM effects, cross talk, and eddy currents
•Triple-layer solid and helically-woven stranded outer shieldings
•All shieldings drained to the "source" end only - to carry absorbed internal and external EMI/RFI noise harmlessly away from the music
•Cables are fully conditioned on our audiodharma Cable Cooker 2.5 Pro and contacts are treated with Walker Audio E-SST Extreme Super Silver Treatment contact enhancer prior to shipment
The Firewire cable employs an entirely new ground breaking structure - DualConduit (TM) - separate cables for the power and signal lines.
It is widely known that the radiated noise from power cables affects signal cables and damages sound quality when a signal cable and a power cable are installed in parallel or come into contact with each other. However, virtually every Firewire cable available on the market have the signal line and power line in one cable together - we can easily imagine how sound quality is deteriorated by this structure.
Some high-end Firewire cables have independently shielded signal and power lines. However, these two lines are in close proximity in the same cable and are constantly causing noise reflections inside the outer shielding tube which will significantly damage sound quality. The power supply lines in Firewire cables can potentially transmit a large amount of 'noise' that is generated by the source. This 'dirty power' seriously degrades the quality of the signal being transmitted and therefore, audio sound quality is greatly reduced. Although our previous design features discreet shielding for each conductor pole, which is superior to most cables on the market, a feature also included in this latest design, which addresses this issue and is vastly superior to the typical Firewire cable, our DualConduit design offers the ultimate in isolation of the signal lines from the power lines. Our latest-design Firewire cable is equipped with two independent cables consisting of a shielded structure with a 100% shielding effect obtained by using heavy solid and silver plated copper stranded shields. This is the only Firewire cable which is successful in stopping noise interaction between the power and signal lines.
Mr. Michael Murray-Robertson, an English classical music reviewer and symphonic 'cellist residing in Lussery-Villars, Switzerland, apparently has a renown state-of-the-art listening enviroment, employing the dCS Scarlatti four-piece stack with this exact digital cable set (two Firewire cables, one AES/EBU cable, three BNC clocking cables) with Nagra tube amplification and Quad ESL speakers...here is quoting his e-mail to dCS that he cc'd me:
"Dear David, Dear Rav,
As usual, it was good speaking with you on the telephone but I do look forward to your visit in person when this finally works out! Let's hope my proposed dates prove convenient for you & Rav. My offer of a night here still stands!
As promised, I can confirm that the six digital cables for quadruple dCS Scarlatti from Revelation Audio Labs are outstanding. We made extensive comparisons cable by cable on original recordings at which I was present including Telarc: the results were obviously superior.
Speaking as a classical music string player with forty years' experience of live & reproduced music, I really felt that more of the spectrum was reproduced via these digital interconnects, the "grain" of upper harmonics revealed the individual colours of each instrument positioned precisely in an allotted space & given acoustics. Increased presence & dynamics were noticeable albeit without any agressive or "shouty" aspect.
The soundstage also widened & deepened.
I identified the violin of Christian Ferras in the sixties & then again, played four decades later by Corey Cerovsèk in a different hall! Not the sound of any violin, rather that violin! From the "fluffy, horsehair on gut" sound of pianissimo strings to the liquid sound of a Cavaillé-Coll pipe organ, the endless nuances of the timbres made me simply want to just sit back & enjoy a moment in time with the performers.
In all honesty, I must warn that these cables are stiff & that undue bending for demos around the world might cause problems. Perhaps Rav could leave them in their pre-formed shape & pack them in foam for travel? And as I said, they do need time to 'burn in' despite the generous time given for this at Revelation. I was unable to resist trying their balanced analogue & loudspeaker cables; the latter especially need time.
The French say: 'you have to suffer to be beautiful' & the English: 'patience is a virtue!'
I'm impatient but will not need to suffer again as I have found what I wanted...an 'even closer approach to the original sound'.
I look forward to your news as promised. Bravo & best wishes & to all at Swavesey.
"Revelation Audio Labs cables have helped us reach an exceptional degree of untarnished communication of music, so I keenly recommended them here in Switzerland." - M.M.R.
Subsequent to employing our digital cable set, Mr. Murray-Robertson's system is now fully wired exclusively with Revelation Audio Labs cables - from wall to speaker - all power cables, digital cables, analogue interconnects and loudspeaker cables.
Keep in mind that Mr. Murray-Robertson is not a high end equipment reviewer but a classical music reviewer, and as such does not technically write reviews for equipment. Message me if you want his contact information as a reference.
One of our dealers, Mr. Dave Jackson of High End Cable, who is located in the U.K., submitted samples of our digital cables to dCS. He reported to me that dCS tried our cables and they have told him that they endorse the cable. dCS has a official policy of not endorsing any particular cable, but if you ask dCS off the record, they will tell you they recommend using Revelation Audio Labs digital cables with their equipment.
These six cables would normally sell for $2,852.00 if purchased separately. However, as a member of AudiogoN, you may purchase the full set for $500.00 off of this price, through this listing only.
The cable set is available for immediate shipment.
