So here is something you don't see everyday, unless it is the late 1950's. A New old stock NEAT GA-6 tonearm. This is one of the best sounding arms I have ever heard (I have 3 of this particular arm) and perhaps the best tonearm for mono (it is also great for stereo). It is a Gray 108 'clone' but having had the Gray 108 and the 208 I much prefer the NEAT (Hence having multiples of this). Transcription length.
This is one of the fabled arms and is referenced in the 'Sakuma sound' and there are many many other accolades are around if you look - truly collectable, but, unlike most collectables, this sounds amazing by today's standards and in my opinion is equaled by only a couple arms which cost more by a significant factor.
This one has truly never been mounted, still in the box and as produced form NEAT - part of my collection - basically new in ALL ways. Arm stand included and I will also include a tube of the proper silicone with the sale. I have never taken it from its box mounting. It even has the original rubber shipping ring on the pivot, intact. I doubt if there is another like this out there unless it is hiding in a collection or perhaps unfound in some shop basement....
Selling to thin the herd only; too much unused stuff.
Original wiring (!) and original box, but the box has a missing side and is fragile - I will of course pack with care to preserve the fragile box and I welcome local pick up.
Adult audiophile home, cared for and cherished. No pets/kids/smoking.
Paypal adds a % and I can take a credit card with a 2.75% fee. Shipping will be at ACTUAL cost to the buyer and I will pack well at my cost. All foreign sales are FINAL and require bank transfer. Any shipments will go insured unless buyer is willing to take all responsibility. Local pick up always welcome.
Someone should have this - it is a treasure.
