Coincident Speaker Tech Dynamo 34SE amp & Triumph Signature Speakers - A perfect match set!

Coincident amplifiers and speakers don't come for sale often on the second hand market, and for a good reason.

This ad is for a SET that consists of a highly modded Coincident Dynamo 34SE Single ended tube amplifier, and a pair of Coincident Triumph Signature monitor speakers. I would really like to sell these as a set, as I've spent a lot of time and effort making this a real 'match made in heaven'. 
The speakers are stock, but the amplifier is highly upgraded: 

• Bypassed original volume control and replaced input signal wires with Silver-Teflon wire
  
  


• Coupling caps upgraded to Mundorf Mcap SUPREME EVO - Silver / Gold Series 
  
  


• Increased capacitance of the power supply, using much higher quality caps
  
  


• Upgraded rectifier diodes to IXYS HYPERFRED
  
  


• Upgraded electrolytic caps to Nichicon and Elna audio grade caps
  
  


• All stock tubes upgraded - Shugaung Black Treasure 6SL7 drivers, and 6CA7 (EL34) power Genelex Gold Lion GZ34 rectifier

All Tubes have about 250 hours on them, almost fully broken in now.  I will include the stock tubes as well.
I've spend many hours testing out different tubes and coupling caps till I found the perfect match for this set, therefore it makes sense to sell it as such.  People who have heard this set, couldn't believe it is less than $5K. Warm, lush tube sound with pin point imaging, yet detailed and fast.  It is extremely musical and involving.

The only reason I am selling is because I am now using much larger speakers that are a better fit for my new dedicated music room than the monitors.  The Dynamo amp was less of a magical match with my new speakers, so I figured it should really stay with its sibling speakers.  Up until now, I couldn't part with this set. I've been holding on to it for a year now, looking for an opportunity to use it somewhere at home, or for a close friend that needs a second system, but it didn't work out, so reluctantly I'm letting it go. 


For less than $2K (+ your favorite source), you can get a killer system that will outperform anything its price range, and much higher. I would recommend using a source with volume control and hooking it up direct to the amp. But, if you want, I can re-connect the amp's original volume control for free. I would however highly recommend that you do not use the original volume control. Replacing it with an ALPS blue velvet (at a minimum, ~$20 + labor), black beauty, or with a high quality stepped attenuator.

Amp is in as-new condition (9/10), it is less than 1.5 years old. Earlier this year it won the The Absolute Sound Editor's choice award.  It also won the Blue Note Award by enjoythemusic.com.  That was the stock version, before any upgrades, which took it to whole other level... 

The speakers are older (circa 2000) but in great shape, I would rate them a very conservative 7.5/10. Therefore the overall conservative rank of 8/10 The bottom panels of the speakers have some scratches from various spikes and movements, nothing major.  All other panels are in excellent condition, except a very small chip on the back of one near the corner.  See the high res, close up photos.  The only upgrade to the speakers was to put a self adhesive felt mat on the front baffle of both, which resulted in amazing improvement in imaging.  You can remove it if you want, the front panels are in perfect shape underneath. 

I have the original box  and packing materials for the amplifier. Speakers will be packed extra carefully in a separate box or two boxes.  I wrote down $150 for shipping as a placeholder, but I will charge only actual cost based on your location, and shipping preference. PayPal add 3%.

Local pickup in the SF bay area welcome.  For a local buyer, I also have an excellent set of DIY stands for sale, that I also tweaked to sound best with the monitors, but they are large and very heavy so shipping is not really an option for me.
